Which Samsung and Pixel smartphones can be koshered?
These run our Gentech filter and support the widest range of allowed apps (Gmail, Zoom, banking apps, WhatsApp, etc.). They are pre-filtered, have no browser, and are managed by an MDM (mobile device management system).
What is the best kosher smartphone?
A koshered Samsung Galaxy or Google Pixel — full smartphone power with browser, social media, and AI chatbots removed. Top picks: Galaxy S22 (supported into 2027) and Pixel (fastest updates). The A15 is newest with the longest support window.
Do kosher phones get software updates?
We manage updates centrally to keep the filter stable — on Samsung models we block firmware updates and handle them in-house. If an app stops working due to firmware age, mail the phone in and we will bring it up to date.
Can a kosher phone be made into a regular phone later?
Yes — the filter is removable by us if you change your mind. We verify the account owner before removing it. After removal the phone works as a normal unlocked Android device.
Can the Kosher Cell filter be bypassed or uninstalled?
No. The filter is installed at the operating-system level — it is not a parental-control app that can be deleted, and it survives a factory reset. Only Kosher Cell can remove it, after verifying the account owner.
Do Kosher Cell phones work on Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile?
Our phones are unlocked and work on major US carriers and MVNOs, or on our own Teltik-based plans. One note: Verizon lines sometimes need "CDMA-less" features removed by Verizon support to fix missing texts.
